Renovating Our Dream

Join us on our journey of transforming an old stone house into a (hopefully) beautiful home in France.

We started this adventure in 2019, and the project has had some serious delays (This was just before the lockdown). Having spent almost all our savings we will have to 'Make Do & Mend' all the bits we can.

It is a bit of a 'fixer upper' but we will figure it out as we go.

Our projects

We will be updating this as we make, discover, destroy or fix anything to do with our crazy house renovation adventure in France.

Watch as they tackle a budget-friendly home renovation journey filled with DIY challenges, tool reviews, and creative cooking in the heart of the French countryside. From cracking walls to a budget running on empty, they’re transforming their dream home, one quirky mishap at a time. Whether you're into renovation, starting fresh in France, or love a good disaster story, this series has something for you—because when it comes to chasing dreams, it’s all about heart (and a lot of imagination)!

Lidl Chainsaw review and first use

In today's video, Bob reviews the Lidl Petrol Powered Chainsaw. This budget-friendly chainsaw comes with everything you need to get started, including ear protectors, eye protectors, a fuel mixing bottle, chain oil, a multi-tool, and a chain guard. With an 18-inch bar and a 2 KW motor, it’s the ideal tool for anyone needing to process firewood, whether you're in the countryside or working on DIY projects.
